about

The world we live in is sometimes scary, but always beautiful. As the rhythms of my life have changed, many things have stayed the same. I believe all of us matter, and all of us have gifts to use in this world, but a big part of the journey is what we decide to do with the lessons we learn, the songs we hear, and the gifts and struggles we are given.

Welcome to make life sing.  Here you will find mumblings about living into life in a full and honest way.  Far from perfect, but in a way that helps you appreciate the moments you are given a little bit more.  For me, it always comes back to some of the most simple things…making wonderful and healthy food for the people we love, sharing our stories and listening to the stories of others, taking care of ourselves and each other, and keeping our ears and hearts open to mystery and wonder.  The balance is always changing, but that’s part of the dance.

I am a singer, a writer, a mother, a wife, a teacher, a Chiari warrior, and a people connector. My hope is that what you read here will add light to your days, give you some things to think about, and remind you of the blessings in life.

We are all given a voice. I’m not talking about singing, though you may share my love of that. I am talking about a broader idea of what goodness we can create and give to the world. What makes you thankful? What are the gifts that you bring to the table? What really makes you come alive? These are the questions that have always led me to more song, and to a deeper knowledge of my own voice.

If you are drawn to where brokenness meets grace, celebrating love in every moment we can, and the simple pleasures of life, please join me.

I’d love to hear from you!  Email me at sarah@makelifesing.com if you’d like to write on the blog or have a kind thought to share.

Share your own story or wonder-filled moment that led you to pay attention and give thanks #makelifesing
